Bowled much better this week. I concentrated on keeping my feet slow, keeping my hand behind the ball and getting the ball out on the lane. My spare shooting was also better this week (I have been concentrating on my spare shooting in practice for the last couple of weeks.
I started out on the scorpion pattern. The left lane was hooking about 2 boards more that the right lane. I tried moving right on the approach on the left lane, but then my ball would just go through the nose. I ended up moving back to my original spot, and then moving up on the lane about 8 inches, and that got me in the pocket. I only had one open (chopped the 3-6-9-10) for a 210.
The second game was on the US Open pattern. I started out by missing the 2 pin for an open in the first frame. I followed that up with a 4-7-10 and a 6-7-10 split. I ended up picking up the ball speed and moving 2 boards to the left, and that put me close to the pocket. I didn't have any more opens, and I finished with a 169.
The last game was on the Nationals pattern. Other than leaving the 2-4-8-10 split (which I picked up) I either got a strike or had a single pin spare. I was going for a dutch through the 5th frame, and then I was able to connect a few strikes. I ended up bowling a clean game for a 213.
I will be bowling down in Albuquerque this weekend for the last week of the tournament. I will let you know how I do when I get back.

Good luck man! Hope you do good in Nationals. I wished I was able to bowl there, but only could get days off for my Native American Tourneys and State. There's always Vegas next year. Can't wait. TTYL
